Diseases in Mangoes.
Mangoes have many devastating pests and diseases, which can result in total yield loss. Diseases like anthracnose and powdery mildew are common in almost all mango growing areas.
Anthracnose: It affects flowers, leaves, and fruit, causing dark lesions, rotting, and premature dropping of fruit. Warm, humid conditions favor the development of anthracnose.
Powdery Mildew: It appears as a white powdery growth on leaves, shoots, and flowers. Powdery Mildew thrives in warm, humid conditions and can lead to leaf distortion, premature leaf drop, and reduced fruit quality.
Downy Mildew causes yellow to brown lesions on leaves, accompanied by a fuzzy growth on the undersides of leaves. It thrives in cool, humid conditions and can lead to defoliation and reduced fruit yield.
In organic farming systems, preventive methods based on proper crop and habitat management are encouraged. Direct methods of control are reserved for emergencies only. Synthetic insecticides and fungicides are not allowed in organic mango production.
Our qualified agronomists will provide their expertise in identifying the diseases and provide preventive measures for the same. We will also provide a wide variety of quality certified mango seedlings at affordable prices. You can contact us through:
